Back Pain: Don't let it ruin your relationships!

Living with back pain can be hard enough, but if it begins to affect your relationships, it can be even harder to deal with. Back pain can take its toll on various relationships in your life in different ways. However, if pain is affecting your life and relationships, it’s time to seek the appropriate medical care.
“I feel like I am broken,” Alyssa said lying down on the table in preparation to get adjusted. Alyssa knew that when her pain interfered with the relationship she had with her daughter, it was time to find someone who could help. Luckily, she found Dr. Alex Vidan at Vidan Family Chiropractic. With chiropractic care we expect for Alyssa's pain to decrease as her spine is realigned with the adjustments.
As Alyssa mentioned, back pain can result in limitations which can stop you from spending quality time being active with your children. It is important to be aware that children can be extremely emotionally affected by a parent’s back pain too. Young children may not understand why their parent is in chronic pain and can be scared and confused. Alyssa said her daughter often thinks she is mad at her because she can’t pick her up without being in excruciating pain. Constantly seeing a parent in anguish can be distressing as well and cause a child to experience anxiety and even depression.
